To the Chief Musician:
I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted my out of the slimy pit,
Out of a horrible pit,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth -
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord.
Blessed is the man who makes
the Lord his trust,
And does not look to the proud,
nor to those who turn aside to lies.
Many O Lord my God, are Your
wonderful works which You have
done, the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you;
Were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
they would be too many to declare.
